Wildfur brushed up agaisnt her, his dappled brown pelt blending beautifully with Rainfur's grey-silver one.
Mosspaw jumped beside her friend, happily enjoying the warm day. "Well, that's better than nothing." she said, half to herself, and half to Rainfur.

Rainfur smiled at Wildfur ."Maybe we should go to Tall Tree's first" she suggested and starting heading in Tall Tree's genral direction.

Wildfur flashed a friendly smile back, exaggerating it, however, and sticking out his tongue. Mosspaw giggled at his silly face as she walked beside Rainfur, her paws crunching the dead leaves from the previous fall that were laying on the ground just outside the camp. "Yeah." she agreed.

Rainfur reached TWIN trees and started sniffing.She did smell something wierd.She called for Mosspaw and Wildfur to come there.

Wildfur and Mosspaw ran over, the dappled light of the sun coming through the trees making Wildfur's already dappled pelt even more so. Cautiously, they each sniffed the air.
Wildfur started walking away from the rest, following his twitching nose. "It's strongest over here!" he called to them.
OOC:// Should our little patrol find a rogue? Or just scent? Or something else entirely?

Wildfur was pointing (with his tail) at a small pile of mouse bones. The funny scent hung around, showing the forest cats that it was the rogues who killed and ate it.
Mosspaw stared blankly. "Is it fresh?" she asked, not knowing because she was only an apprentice.

"Yes"Rainfur said." It wasn't here the last time we were here."She turned around." We have to tell Goldenstar" she said running back toward camp.

Wildfur turned as well, sprinting along with her. Mosspaw tried to keep up with the older cats, but soon fell behind and walked at her own pace. They weren't far from camp, anyway, so she could stop and take a look around...NO! she reminded herself. There are rogues around here!
Putting on a burst of speed, she fell in pace with Wildfur and Rainfur, perhaps a little awkwardly.

BIC;; "Yes," Runningrain said, and beckoned Mosspaw to sit with her long tail.
"Mosspaw, something is bothering you." It wasn't a question, and Runningrain paused to study the young apprentice for a few heartbeats before continuing. "Is it about Wildfur and Rainfur?" she mewed.

Mosspaw sighed and looked down at her small paws. "It bothered me at first, a lot, but I guess some of it has worn off now. I mean, it still hurts to see them together, but I'm still happy for them, and Wildfur couldn't have picked a nicer mate..." by the end, her voice was increasing in height as she reverted back to complaining, hurt kit. "But I'm fine now. Wildfur didn't mean it, and I really like Rainfur."

"Of course you do. You'll find your mate, Mosspaw. Don't try to rush it," the grey queen counselled, give Mosspaw's ear a quick lick. She got stiffly to her feet and touched the apprentice's shoulder with her tail. "Come on, let's go," she said.

Mosspaw nuzzeled the queen's shoulder affectionately. "Thanks for the advice! I'm going to play with Ashpaw now!"
OOC:// I know there is no Ashpaw, but I wanted to give the impression that she was playing with a male cat her own age.
