OOC:// WHOOP I had better tell her :-D
Wildfur called to Autumnpool. "I'll be a minute." he apologised, "I have to tell Goldenstar about something we saw on patrol. I'll be right back!" he promised as he darted off towards the leader's den.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Autumnpool saw the two cats pad up to her after returning from GHoldenstar's den. " I guess we should leave now," she said, pointing her tail torwards the broad clearing outside the camp. Autumnpool started padding torwards the plains, not sure if the others were following her lead.

Rainfur headed toward the warrior's den to take a quick nap before her night patrol.

Wildfur, Mosspaw and Goldenstar walked alongside Autumnpool. Goldenstar walked closest to Autumnpool, and asked for them all to hear, "Autumnpool, can you go to TwinTrees? I want to find the rogue's scent."

"Of course,' Autumnpool turned in the direction of Twin trees and took the patrol a diffenrent route.

Mosspaw gave way to her apprentice-ness, and, though she felt foolish in front of the older cats, she couldn't help but pounce on a beetle. She caught it and let it go, playing with it as cats will.
Goldenstar saw and smirked. Apprentices will be apprentices.
She and the rest of the hunting patrol finally arrived at TwinTrees.
Beckoning him over with her tail, she called for Wildfur. "Wildfur, where did you see the bones?"
He broght her over to the valley between the roots of the great trees that had entwined themselves together, and said with a shock, "They're gone!"
Goldenstar shook her head, after looking in the surprisingly bare hollow. "The rogues, whoever they were, must have realised we were looking for them and got rid of the bones. They couldn't, however, get rid of their scent, I think. Is that funny, twinging-your-nostrils scent I can smell the rogues?" she asked curiously, with an air of such importance that Mosspaw could understand. She was, after all, the leader of her Clan, and she would need to know what the rogues smelt like if they were going to attack.

Autumnpool sniffed around Twintrees and inhaled. Bleck! She scrunched her nose as she backed away. "It's Rouges all right," she concluded. Smart of them to hide the bones, but not so smart for them to trespass in the first place.

Mosspaw bounded over and almost stuck her nose into the scent, trying to remember it and permantly enclose it in her scent glands forever, just in case it would help LightClan win a battle.
Goldenstar nodded thankfully to Autumnpool, Wildfur and Mosspaw. "Thanks for showing me that. You three go on with the hunt, I'm going back to the camp. I'm going to warn the others." she said.

With that, Autumnpool toke the patrol to a prey rich area to start their catch. In a few minutes, Autumnpool had caught a vole and a feild mouse.

Goldenstar rushed back to camp to tell the others.
Mosspaw scented around, but the scent of rogue was too strong and anyway, the rogue would have scared away any prey anyhow.
She veered off to the right, where no one else was hunting and where she could not smell any rogue, and scented a squirrell right-off.
Crouching down, she dispatched it before she even hit the ground. Her biggest catch ever!
Saying thanks to StarClan, she kicked some dirt over it and went to find some more, all the whiole remembering where the squirrell was buried.

Goldenstar's tailtip flicked nervously. "The rogue who's fresh-kill bones you found has hidden the bones. Which means they must have coe back. This is very bad - it means they're not afraid of us, whoever they are. It also might mean that they're not afraid of us because they have more rogues to back them up."

"Oh" Rainfur said nervously."Is there anything i can do" she asked.

Goldenstar pondered this question for what must have seemed like ages, then said, "Tell the camp to be on alert, but not to panic. And, also, if you could take Mosspaw and another apprentice, maybe, out for a last excursion or two so they don't feel a need to explore when the rogues are about to attack, and in the forest in full force, that would be great." she smiled knowingly. "You can bring along another warrior if two apprentices are to much of a handful.

"Ok" Rainfur said."Good idea''."Where are the others?" she asked when she noticed they won't back in the camp.
