Two other warriors, both male, appeared behind her.
The largest of them, a dark tabby, asked disdainfully, "Why are you talking to HER. She's from a different Clan!"
Goldenlight looked unamused. "She's a respectable cat. Besides, what harm is there in making friendly talk between Clans, especially in times like this?"
The outspoken warrior retreated, blow away by her boldness. He respected her, and called to the other warrior, who was a friend of his, "C'mon. Let's go hunting while our deputy checks the border."
It sounded to Goldenlight like he was trying to change the subject, but she let it go and once again focused her attention on the CloudClan cat.

Goldenlight thought for a moment, then merrowered, "yes, actually EmberClan was here only the other day spouting off gibberish like there was no tomorow. What did the two in your camp say?" she asked quizzically.
