Goldenstar looked pensive. "Doesn't EmberClan have a anosmic kit? But she's in EMberClan anyway. I think it might be better if they all went to EmberClan."

Goldenstar seemed satisfied with the kit's safety, then announced, "Also, a rogue has come to join us. Please welcome Otter,now of LightClan, into the Gathering. She is a noble cat and I would trust her with my life."

Goldenstar's suggestion that all the kits go to EmberClan did not soothe the black tom. Most able warriors? Since when did one Clan ever admit that another Clan's warriors were better than their own? Blacksquirrel, although a reasonable tom, believed this to be highly odd behavior, especially for a Leader. Perhaps they were getting too friendly with their rivals.
But his ears perked up in curiosity when Goldenstar introduced Otter.
"Is she the one that...warned you about the rogue attack?" He meowed loudly again. This also didn't seem right to the tom. All the Clans were making preparations for the attack from the rogues, and here one Clan was accepting a rogue. What if this stranger cat was from the band that planned to steal their kittens, and served merely as a spy from the inside?

OOC:// I dunno, that would be kind of awkward, wouldn't it? It was only a little misinterpretation and misunderstanding that no one would really address. Whatever Blacksquirrel may feel on the inside, he's reasonable enough not to bite openly at such a little thing...but I could try.
Eyes grew wide at this reveal. It did not settle his nerves. "So, Otter was raised by the rogues, and Ember used to be a ClanCat? Why did she become a rogue? Was she kicked out of her Clan, or left willingly?"
Blacksquirrel only sought to protect CloudClan, like any decent warrior would, but he wasn't seeing much sense at the moment in trusting the word of 'friendly' rogues, especially when they were both previously allied with a threatening band. It was vital all the Clans knew without a doubt that these two were fully trustworthy. Taking the word of LightClan wasn't enough.
Misted blue eyes then turned to Silverstar, his own leader, and spoke a suggestion. "Silverstar, since it was agreed that our kits would be entrusted to EmberClan, will we be able to station a few of our own warriors there? Even if EmberClan has more...able warriors-" And here he threw a glance back at the LightClan leader- "a couple of our own would help things run more smoothly, and help for better protection."

Dapplegaze shifted from side to side, nervous as words flew around in a confusing circle. Blacksquirrel was right- they couldn't leave there kits all by themselves with another Clan!
Sagefrost called out to the Clan leaders:
"Is it really so wise, when a threat comes against all four Clans, to be separate? If all the kits will be in EmberClan, why do the clans fight separately? Would it not make sense to ban together to protect the kits, and to kill the rouges?"

As another cat called out, Blacksquirrel focused his attention on the green-eyed she-cat, listening intently to her words. As she spoke, his tail frizzled out as an idea struck him. After she had spoken, he yowled out once more.
"In fact, why not go and attack these rogues before they attack us? Or at least send out some scouts to see what exactly we're up against?"

Goldenstar frowned. "I didn't mean...never mind." she stopped, realising the anger she could stir up with the EmberClan leader if she stated that she didn't think them any more able than her own beloved warriors. "I like your idea, but we don't really know what we're up against. However, it would be better to know when the fighting was going to be done, even if it was up against unknown cats, rather than all the unknowns coming at us at once. Who here agress with me and (OOC:// Mirage I can't remember your other cat's name.)? Surely it's a good idea and would benefit us?" she paused, thinking. "And I think that not only should we move our kits to EmberClan, but our whole Clan. Our kits are the foundation of our Clans and I think all our queens would feel more secure knowing that they could be with their kits." she finished, hoping it hadn't offended anyone.

Froststar frowned. "I know that I know Ember well; she used to be my apprentice," she mewed. "But I do trust her, Goldenstar. She is a good cat but her past made her a bit of a loner in the Clan. She eventually left." The leader narrowed smoky blue eyes at Goldenstar as she paused, looking around for her Clan's support.
She heard Goldenstar's words and then flinched. "Yes, the kits should ALL be together, but we must have warriors guarding the camps as the rogues could take them. The idea of patrols looking for the rogues is a good idea; I will send out some of my best warriors tomorrow." Froststar broke off suddenly and looked to the trees. She smelled the familiar spicy tang, and a whiff of rogue and she knew who it was. The visitor meant no harm, she knew, but it was dangerous for her to come here.

Ember crouched in the clearing, staring at Froststar, who obviously knew she was there. She was low to the ground, but straightened her slight frame as the leader's words reached her ears.
