"Um, no thank you, you can start, Goldenstar," Froststar replied quietly. "I need some time to compose my thoughts." With that, she leapt fluidly up onto one of the moon-bleached rocks and settled herself comfortably on the rough surface.
Runningrain sat with the LightClan cats, her attention focused on the leaders as she waited patiently for the Gathering to start. The moon hung full in the sky overhead, an orb of spun silver, and shone bright and clear, lighting the way.

Goldenstar sat down on the perch that was where the leaders who were speaking spoke, and said in a loud, clear voice, "I suppsoe we all know about the rogues."
Yowls of anger towards the rogues split the clearing, so she waited.
"Maybe some of you know less that others. I'll explain."
"A few moons ago, we first began to notice rogues in our area, but it was no more that a sighting, or a scent on the wind. Then, while on patrol, some warriors of ours scented rogues in our territory, and found the bones of fresh-kill in our territory laced with the scent of rogue. That was alarming, and we made precautions, but we pulled through it."
She took a sharp breath, then continued. "But recently, we heard from a very trustable ally that the rogues were planning kit raids. This was terrible and naturally we sent patrols around to warn the other Clans."
"I fear for the forest! Yes, we are rivals, and our borders are set in stone...but I fear that this menace will overcome us if we don't unite. Please! Your kits and loved ones may be at stake!" he tone was strong, but her large golden eyes were pleading.

Froststar's crystalline eyes widened with shock, although the news was hardly new to her. "I fear we must join together to fight this menace," the elegant leader stated. "EmberClan must bring its kits to IceClan so as to keep them safe so we can fight together. I agree with Goldenstar; we are rivals. But even that must be cast aside when we are all in danger."
Runningrain shifted uncomfortably at Froststar's words. Would it be going against StarClan's will to join together - this once? Even if it saved them all? She glanced casually at the full moon, and noticed that no cloud obscured its silvery brightness, and let out a sigh of relief.
"Ember visited me a few days ago, and warned me." Froststar's eyes hardened as she glared at Goldenstar. How dare she rashly claim to have warned the other Clans? "We must work together to succeed," she said, slowly.

Goldenstar returned her glare, speaking with eyes instead of with words. Choosing her words, she spoke slowly. "I am not aware that Ember had visited IceClan. Under the circumstances I believe I behaved as any other leader in my position should."

Silverstar steped up to the rock.
" Cloudclan hasn't come into much contact with the rogues as of yet but we did smell them . A few days ago Goldenstar came to us with the news of the kit stealing plan. I agree with Godenstar and Froststar . Perhaps Lightclan's kits can join us in Cloudclan so that we may fight together. " Silverstar said.

Goldenstar nodded her acsent and said, "I apprecate this...but how can I be entirely certain that they will be safe? I mean, I know as well as any that the Clans MUST unite, but is CloudClan really the best place to put them?" she asked.

The black tom was sitting a ways off from the leaders, having merged in with the swarm of different pelts and scents, blue eyes trained on the topic the leaders were discussing. However, when the LightClan leader expressed doubts as to the capability CloudClan has of protecting kits, his ears flattened against his skull. The soft fur prickled unpleasantly up his spine, and somewhere deep in his throat a throaty growl threatened to emerge.
"And just where else should we put them?" He meowed, loud enough to be heard, his voice the essence of calm, but his eyes were looking shrewdly at Goldenstar. "Surely LightClan, whom the rogues targeted first, isn't a fitful place for CloudClan's kits?"

"That's true. Perhaps we should put all the kits in EMberClan, who have the most able warriors?" she pointed out.
