Ashkit looked down disapointed for she wanted a play-fight, and to win. But her disapointment quickly dissapeard when she herd Lilytail's voice say "Now come! we have a lot to see! Come Leafkit, Silentkit and Ashkit." Ashkit pranced happily around until she spotted Stagefrost. Stagefrost remined her of Ashkit's mother, Sleektail. Ashkit stood there staring at Stagefrost.

Silentkit yearned to speak, to comfort the desolate-looking kit. But nothing came out of her mouth save a mouthful of air and a small sigh. She touched her tail to Ashkit's shoulder, and attempted to look friendly.

Ashkit turned to look at Silentkit. She sighed; at least she had friends now. "Come on, we better get a move on." Ashkit mewed. Ashkit moved on toward Lilytail. She went up to Lilytail and asked "Mom... I mean Lilytail? What are we going to see today?" "It's ok, you can call me mom. We are going to see a little glance at the stream. Just follow me." Lilytail replied. As they walked under the trees that surrounded them, Ashkit had a terrible memory of when her parent died. Suddenly Ashkit stopped in her tracks because her belly was really hurting. “Are you all right Ashkit?” Lilytail mewed as she ran over to were Ashkit was lying.

Silentkit stopped in her tracks and stared at Ashkit, wondering what was wrong. She gently attempted to nudge the other limp kit to her paws, using her accumulated strength to push her along the dirt.

Leafkit helped Silentkit in attempting to help Ashkit get up." Are you okay?" she meowed softly to Ashkit, a concerned look on her face.

"Holy Whiskers" Ashkit mewed under her breath. "I’m all right, just a memory of my parents and their .” Ashkit explained sadly. Ashkit jumped up to her paws to show no weakness. “Ok! Let’s go now!” Ashkit mewed. Lilytail headed onward and then sat down. “Come kits, I want to show you our space.” mewed Lilytail as she waited for the others to sit by her.

Lilytail sat under a tree a closed her eyes. It looked like she was sleeping until Ashkit came over to her and began "You kit's have to promise me that is you go somewhere, you do it together, like is Leafkit wanders off, you get Silentkit and follow her because you have a better chance of surviving together that along. Got it?" Ashkit looked up and mewed "Got it."

"Got it" Leafkit said , looking up at her mother, her face having a serious expression on it which was pretty rare for her.

Silentkit slowly bobbed her head up and down twice. Her eyes were grave, and she looked to Ashkit and Leafkit, and her expression brightened. She let out a small purr and moved a little closer to Leafkit.

"All right, now look down a little farther. Do you see a river?" Lilytail asked. "I kinda see it. Oh yes! I see it!" mewed Ashkit. "Across that river is Embarclan. You must never go there. Under stand?" Lilytail mewed. "Yes mother." Ashkit mewed."

Mutely, Silentkit could only bob her head gravely up and down once again, but instead she was wondering what made it so bad. They were only cats, right? Even now she glimpsed a dark tabby in the grass and he didn't look so bad.

When Lilytail got up, Ashkit followed her until they pasted the place were she had a sick felling, and stoped. Ashkit looked at the mark she left and kicked dirt with it with her hind legs.
