"But Darkheart...," nightpaw said in a whiney voice, "Trouble is my middle name.... practicalt and ou know that, it's like impoosible for me to not het in trouble. And when is the next meeting because i woulod really like to be a warrior, then i can fight with my clan, verses no rules and frre for all." She looked at the ground and respectfully said, "Shadowfur's my father... woah....but ... well... never mind the question is over and i dont want to push you to tell me why you hate him SO much.. other than the fact that he's from another clan" With that Nightpaw just stood there and waited for a reply.

Darkheart stared at Nightpaw, gaze hard. "Nightpaw, you must understand that you belong to EmberClan," he said. "Shadowfur..." He broke off and looked fixedly at his oval paws.

Shadowfur could feel his muscles contracting painfully as he lowered himself stiffly to the ground. Whiskers twitching, his eyes dulled with pain, glassy but still dull. He knew he had to see the medicine cat.

Mosspaw stepped out of the apprentice den to see Shadowfur drop to the ground. She rushed over to the medicine cat den and practically yowled "Sagefrost! Sagefrost! Shadowfur needs you! Now,please!!!" Then she rushed over to Shadowfur. "Don't worry, Sagefrost's coming," She said crowching down next to him to keep him company while she waited for Sagefrost to come.

The twitch spread, but Shadowfur craned his neck, and licked it until it subsided. "Thank you Mospaw," he rasped. "I'll be fine." But it was then that he felt the death-rattle coming, and his breath suspiciously labourious.
Facing the starry apparitions bravely, Shadowfur managed to choke out his last words. "Good-bye, Mosspaw." With that, he felt the black waves that had been lapping at his vision consume him, and he fell back, heartbeat stilled forever.

"NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!" Mosspaw yowled. This would be most upsetting for Nightpaw, and she could do nothing about it. Sagefrost had been too long, and now he was gone. Mosspaw nudged and licked the deceased cat and said good-bye.

Sagefrost limped heavily into camp, her breathing labored between a mouthful of marigold. She had been out searching for the herb when she had slipped and bashed her leg against a rock; her leg hadn't been broken, but was damaged. It had taken her almost all day to make it back to CloudClan's camp.
Sagefrost stopped when she saw the lifeless bundle in the middle of camp. With a gasp, she dropped the marigold, she limped rapidly over, pushing Mosspaw aside in her hurry to see the ill cat. Sagefrost nosed Shadowfur, but it was too late; the cat had already gone by the time she arrived. May StarClan watch over you.
Turning to Mosspaw, Sagefrost put on a brave face trying to quite the apprentice. "It's alright,"she soothed, "There was nothing you could have done."
Calling out to CloudClan camp she rasped: "Why did no one come find me? How was Shadowfur left to die?"

Silverpelt dashed into camp.She had just returned from a hunting expedition.She noticed Shadowfur's lifeless body " What happened?" she asked.

Sagefrost turned questioning as Silverpelt exploded into camp.
"What happened?" Silverpelt asked.
"I was just wondering the same thing." Sagefrost replied.
