Wildfur's tail skimmed over Rainfur's back lovingly, and Mosspaw smiled. She was happy with his choice, even though it had not been her. She walked up to Runningrain and flopped beside her.
Wildfur's eartips wiggled happily as he sat down beside his love.

Rainfur sat down besides Wildfur,softly pawing the mouse in his direction smiling happily.

Wildfur bit the mouse in even halves, and bit his half. He chewed contentedly, thinking all the while, until Goldenstar strided over, concern in her yellow gaze.

Goldenstar nodded her head respectably. "Greetings, Rainfur, Wildfur...Mosspaw and Runningrain, you should probably come here too." Wildfur could not suppress a shudder as the golden she-cat's eyes burned into him, tinged with...was it...fear?

Mosspaw bounded up.
Goldenlight sat down in front of the her cats, then took a deep breath and said, "I think we are under threat from the rogues." Hearing Mosspaw's gasp of surprise, she added, "Not that I think it'll happen any time soon, but they're restless, and will probably be moving soon, looking for easy prey and territory. So i wanted to tell you to look out, and tell me the second you get any sort of sign that they're in our territory, OK? I'll be bringing this up at the Gathering this full moon, but I'd like to know firsthand."

"Ok,we'll look out for any signs of them" Rainfur said seriously.She glanced over at Mosspaw and Wildfur to see their reactions.

Mosspaw was shifting from paw to paw nervously, but all the same she said, none too confidently, "I'll do my best, Goldenstar!"
Wildfur looked a little distant, and was oercome with fear for Rainfur and the rest of the Clan. He told himself that there was no imediate threat, and that Goldenstar would defend the Clan as best she could, but in any case, he straightened up proudly and said, "I'll help too! Er, do you wnat me to lead a patrol, just in case?"
Goldenstar considered it for a while, then said, "I think that would be a good idea. Bring a few ore warrior with you, I don't want any cat leaving the camp unless it's ina group of more than three. And be ready to fight at all times, I know this may seem like I'm overdoing it, but I don't wnat anything to happen!" she said fiercely.

Goldenstar's tailtip twitched involuntarily as she breathed out a sigh of relief that she didn't know she had been holding on to. She had only been appointed leader for a few weeks, after all, and was detirmined to be a great leader. "I'm sure you all will."she finally said, and then turned tail and went toward her den.

Rainfur turned to Wildfur." So who are you taking with you?" she asked taking the last few bites of the mouse.

Wildfur contemplated. "Probably Mosspaw, and you, if you'd like to come." He didn't know it was there, but Mosspaw could hear a hint of wanting in his voice as he asked the pretty she-cat if she wanted to hunt. Inwardly, Mosspaw sighed. He wasn't very good at flirting - flattery, maybe, but flirting? She decided to leave him be a watch (and laugh) from a distance. Still, she thought is was very sweet of Wildfur to ask Rainfur if she wanted to do eveyrthing and anything with him.
Mosspaw remembered what Wildfur was talking about and spoke up. "I'd come. Maybe we should catch some food, too, so we'll be well-fed if the rogues, or anything else for that matter, attack."
