OK, I am writing these few paragraphs, but before I do that, I have a question. Are people allowed to sign up as rouges, loners and kittypets?
I am assuming they do while I write this...
A bright, sunny say. The long, soft grass of the meadow between the forest and the Outskirts brushed beside Goldenlight's coat, making it ripple and shine in the early newleaf sunlight.
Goldenlight was on patrol, walking the scent-marked boundary between her Clan - LightClan - and the hostile Clan EmberClan.
She was on patrol with two of her closest friends, a dark brown she-cat with a white triangle-shaped mark on her chest (Lightheart) and Lightheart's crush, a large ginger tom by the name of Broadpelt.
Goldenlight got the feeling that Broadpelt liked Lightheart back, and the time was right for mating...it was newleaf, after all.
She was currently alone, having been nicely deserted by her friends as Broadpelt scented squirrel in the forest only a few hundred feet to their right. (Lightheart issued a parting glance at Goldenlight, to check if her friend had been hurt by her wanting to go with her crush, instead of her close friend, but Goldenlight dismissed it with a smile. She didn't mind, and she understood)
So she was by herself (if one could call it alone, for she could hear her friends triumphant shout as they finally caught the squirrel, so they can't have been very far away), and for the moment, was enjoying the sunlight and the new grass.
For it was the first sun they had had in days, weeks even - the sun had stayed hidden for about a moon now. Just constant, dreary grey, rain, day after day.
She smiled. No doubt the kits back at LightClan's camp were enjoying themselves, playing in the sunlight under the watchful eyes of their mothers.
Suddenly she heard a call. "Hey you! The sandy-colored cat!"
